Guest Speaker: Lambis has researched the history of the Australian
soldiers who were killed in July 1916 at Fromelles, France,
in the most disastrous battle the Australian military has
With many soldiers missing, Lambis researched the history
of the battle and discovered the bodies of the missing
soldiers. These men have now been given a military burial,
and the minds of their families put to rest.
Lambis will talk about his research and the subsequent
search for the bodies and their identification.
Dr. Madonna Grehan speaking on the work of midwives, nurses and the care of women in early Australia. Her history interests include the Boer War and WW2. She has also worked as a researcher on the TV programme ‘Who Do You Think You Are’.
